Single seats may be booked on any safari, subject to a single supplement for accommodation (and other clients booking the same departure). In the low season of April and May there are no single supplements charged (or much reduced ones on some itineraries).

EXCLUSIVE VEHICLE CUSTOM SAFARIS
Any of the above itineraries can be taken with an exclusive 4 X 4 vehicle. A custom safari for two clients is significantly more expensive per person than seats on a similar small group safari. However, on a custom safari with an exclusive vehicle, the cost of the vehicle and driver/ guide are divided by the number of clients sharing the vehicle. Therefore, the per person cost of a custom safari reduces the more clients that are sharing the vehicle (maximum in one vehicle is 7).

If you do have an exclusive vehicle for your safari then the timing and itinerary becomes completely flexible, within logistical constraints. You will be free to change the start and finish days and times, the places visited and the order in which you visit them to suit your individual preferences and interests.

You can also choose to use any of the available accommodation, including permanent tented camps, in each location.

When you are on safari you can ask your driver/guide to look out specifically for the things you want to see, and take as long looking or photographing them as you want, within your overall timetable.

DRIVER/ GUIDES
Each vehicle, whether on a set date schedule safari or taken on an exclusive vehicle basis, will be driven by a highly experienced driver/ guide employed directly by Rangers. All driver/ guides are responsible for your overall comfort, safety and well- being, as well as simply driving the vehicle and game spotting. They are all fluent in English, and some speak German and other European languages. We will book the one most suitable for your group where possible.

LUXURY LODGE & CAMPING SAFARIS
These safaris use only luxury tented camps featuring spacious tents with proper beds and furniture, electric light, en-suite hot showers and flush toilets. You will get a flavour of the old style camping safari without any of the discomforts.

ADVENTURE CAMPING SAFARIS
Ranger's luxury mobile camping trips are a tremendous experience. However, this sort of camping is much more expensive than safaris using lodge accommodation. A much more modestly priced alternative has become increasingly popular in recent months and comprises a combination of accommodation at the best lodges with some nights in permanent tented lodges. This style of itinerary can be applied to any safari involving the exclusive use of a vehicle.
